Examples of High-Quality MSc Theses

Below, you can find a list of high-grade theses:

  1. Nonhof, Lisa (2024). A Mathematical Model for a Single-Retailer, Single-Vendor, Multi-Item Vendor Management Inventory for the Export Business of Jacobs Douwe Egberts. (Using my Thesis Template!)
  2. Wattel, N.J. (2021). Routing of shunt trains at logistics hubs of NS using constraint programming.(pdf)
  3. Lansink, T.T.M. (2022). Sustainability in electromobility purchasing: prioritising raw materials using multi-criteria decision-making.(pdf)
  4. Schenk, J.I. (2022). ProRail Incident Handling: An Incident Handler Coverage Allocation Optimization Model.(pdf)

In #1, for example, you can notice a couple of features:

  • Visually appealing formatting (Latex)
  • Clear content division (see TOC)
  • Clear research design (see page 9)
  • High-quality figures with descriptive captions

Suggestion: Shamelessly “steal” the structural parts 😀.

Keep in mind that many readers are familiar with variations of the “IMRaD” format, where content is structured into four main sections: Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion. Therefore, using this format may be beneficial as it will be recognized by most readers.
